Dig it

I'm "digging" these gorgeous colors spots everywhere in our backyard. I finally got this gardening thing down (I think.)
I'm embarrassed to tell you how many rose bushes I killed. Yikes! Don't even go there. But I'm determined to be able to grow roses. I have more hope this time around than ever before.

I love looking out our windows and see Spring colors popping up everywhere.
I went to Lowes today and got some Celosia. I will probably do some more planting tomorrow. The smell of soils, getting my hands in the dirt, breaking the earth down, watering, pruning, ahhh I'm in heaven. I'm telling you I'm a bit odd when it comes to what is considered relaxing to most people! It's so relaxing to me. My husband catches me in the backyard just staring at my flowers all the time. hehe

I get to enjoy all of these hobbies before baby No. 2 arrives. I blame it on "nesting" everyday is a new project!

Perfect Afternoon Sweets

This afternoon Z and I decided to bake some cookies and cut up some fresh fruits. Mommy has sweet tooth and so does he! When I was trying to take pictures for the blog he wanted to get into some of the action too. I gave in and gave him point and shoot camera. (shhhh don't tell sugar daddy)
He looks like he knows what he was doing. This is the first time trying out Brown Butter and Fleur de Sel Chocolate Chip Cookies. OMG! These are delicious... but the best part is the smell (brown butter goodness.) It's not like your typical chocolate chip cookies recipe so give it a try. I didn't have the fancy French sea salt so I used the regular sea salt and the cookies turned out just fine.

He was elated with the results and couldn't wait to dive right in!

So the big question is...

Whose melon is BIGGER? hehe =)

Hooter Hider by Me

I must put it out there that my husband is the most patient/supportive person ever! I always come up with projects after projects and he has been so supportive! My sewing machine has been on our dining table for weeks! Pile of fabric and scraps are everywhere! Not a word of complaint!

He knows that at the end of the day, "crafting" is what makes me sane!

So what did I sew? A hooter hider!
(I made this a few weeks ago but forgot to post.)
I got the tutorial from here.
I didn't follow the instruction to the T but close enough. I made some changes; added the lining and bow instead of d-ring.
